Answers to the questions collectors ask most about the Schleich 20143 CB-Funker Schlumpf, from identifying the figure to judging its condition and display value.
Quick answer
The Schleich 20143 CB-Funker Schlumpf is a single Smurf figurine in Schleich's Smurf collection, and it suits collectors who want a specific named character rather than a generic Smurf. Check the item number and paint condition before you buy, because this figure is often traded as a loose piece.
Why this figure raises more questions than a generic Smurf
Named characters like the CB-Funker Schlumpf attract buyers who are filling a specific gap in a Smurf lineup, so the questions tend to be about identity and condition rather than play value. The catalog lists this as a detailed figurine from the Schleich Smurf collection under item number 20143, which is the detail to match against any listing you see.
The catalog does not supply dimensions, release year, paint finish, or packaging details for this record. Treat any seller claim about those points as something to verify directly rather than assume from the product name.
Where the CB-Funker fits in a Smurf collection
Collectors usually sort Smurf figures by character name and item number, and the CB-Funker is a character-specific piece rather than a generic Smurf pose. That makes it more useful for completing a named-character shelf than for bulk display, and it means a duplicate is easy to spot once you keep a simple list of item numbers.
If your shelf is built around Schleich Smurf collectibles generally, this figure works as a single accent. If you are starting from zero, buying one named character first is a low-cost way to test whether the scale and style suit you before adding more.
Collector questions, answered
- How do I confirm I am looking at the 20143 CB-Funker?
- Match the item number 20143 and the character name CB-Funker Schlumpf against the listing or the base of the figure. The catalog identifies this as a Schleich Smurf collection figurine, so a listing that cannot show the number is harder to verify. Ask for a clear photo of the item number before paying.
- Is it a good first Schleich Smurf purchase?
- It can be, if you specifically want a named character. If you are testing scale and style, a single figure at this catalog price is a low-risk entry point, but the catalog does not list dimensions, so do not assume a size until you check the listing or ask the seller.
- What should I inspect on a loose figure?
- Look for paint wear on the face and any thin protruding parts, and check that the base sits flat. Because the catalog gives no paint or material specification, judge condition from photos rather than from the product name alone. Request close-ups of the face and base, not just a full-body shot.
- How should I display and store it?
- Keep it out of direct sun and off hot surfaces, and stand it on a flat shelf rather than leaning it against other figures. A small labeled box or compartment tray prevents paint rubbing when the figure is stored.
- Does it come with packaging or extras?
- The catalog record does not state packaging, release year, or accessories. If a complete box matters to you, confirm it with the seller before buying; otherwise plan for a loose figure. Decide whether boxed condition is a must-have before you start comparing listings.
