Discover what makes the Schleich 72185 purple rabbit figure a charming collectible. Learn its key features, best uses, and who should add it to their collection.
Quick Answer
The Schleich 72185 purple rabbit is a delightful, budget-friendly figure that suits both imaginative play and casual collecting, but serious collectors seeking realistic colors may prefer other Schleich rabbits.
Why the Purple Rabbit Stands Out
The Schleich 72185 purple rabbit is a charming departure from typical farm animal colors. Its vivid purple hue makes it instantly recognizable and adds a playful touch to any animal-themed playset. The figure is crafted with Schleich's signature attention to detail, ensuring a durable and visually appealing piece.
For children, this rabbit encourages creative storytelling and fits seamlessly into farm or fantasy scenes. For collectors, its unique color makes it a standout addition, especially if you enjoy variety in your Schleich lineup.
Trade-offs to Consider
While the purple color is a selling point for many, it may not appeal to those who prefer realistic animal colors. If your collection focuses on authentic farm scenes, this rabbit might feel out of place. Additionally, the figure is a single animal with no accessories, so it's best as a standalone piece or part of a larger set.
At around $3.50, it's an affordable way to expand your collection or gift to a young animal lover. However, if you're looking for a more detailed or larger rabbit figure, you may need to explore other Schleich options.
Decision Rules for Buying the Schleich 72185 Purple Rabbit
- Purpose: If you're buying for a child's imaginative play, this figure is an excellent choice. If you're a collector seeking realistic farm animals, consider whether the purple color fits your theme. Identify the primary use before purchase.
- Budget: At about $3.50, it's a low-cost way to add a unique piece. If you're on a tight budget, this is a great pick, but if you prefer investing in larger or more detailed figures, you might want to save up.
- Collection Theme: If your collection embraces variety and whimsy, this rabbit is a fun addition. If your collection is strictly realistic, you might pass on this one. Check your existing collection's color scheme.
