Schleich 70066 gefürchtete Nordmann

Smaller than I expected for the price, but the carving on the shield and the fur texture on the cloak are so detailed that I keep picking it up to look at it again. It's got a real weight to it that makes it feel sturdy on the shelf.

The hand-painted details really pop up close, especially the fur trim and the weathered look of the shield. My only gripe is that the axe feels a bit light, but it stands sturdy on a shelf and adds a nice rugged vibe to my desk.

The pose on this Viking figure is so dynamic—he looks ready to charge straight off the shelf. My son immediately grabbed him for a raid on the Lego castle, and the hand-painted shield held up perfectly. Definitely a new favorite in his collection.
